Monday 19 October

All eight that arrived, returned to Gulleys Wood Meadow, and began trimming the Hedge parallel to the Golf Course. We will do the bottom half next week. Within the Hedge we found an Ash growing, which we left and can just be seen in the ‘after’ Photo below.

We discussed future jobs before we commenced :

Hutcliffe Wood Holly – we are not able [unless things change], to go there this year. We will revisit this later with the intention of going in January, as we did this year.

Willow on Golf Course – The Beauchief Grounds Staff have requested we clear a large area overgrown with Willow. This could be a 2-3 weeks task.

Path laying – John is trying to track down the person responsible for ordering the material, then we can commence the 2 areas.

Bench – Bill will arrange for the Stone to be delivered for us to transport to Little Wood Bank

Gorse patch – This year the intention is to only cut the Saplings growing in the Gorse and leave the bushes for another year.

Bench Posts – Beauchief Golf Course will deliver some Railway Sleepers to the Store, they have them surplus.
