Monday 27 April

Ten Monday Group members arrived on this warm, bright Spring Morning.

Three of us went to Gulley’s Wood Meadow and strengthened two Posts in the Kissing Gate that had rotted at the Base. We then joined the others who had , not surprisingly, eaten all the Cake.

Seven members of the group carried on with the rebuilding of the dry stone wall in the corner where the Deer Park, De La Salle and Ladies Spring Wood meet. Having cleared the ground, the foundation stones were laid and the building commenced. A smoot was incorporated to allow small mammals a through route. There is still much to do so we shall be returning after the Bank Holiday. Cake from De La Salle was gratefully received at coffee time.
