Eleven members turned up for work this morning. Five went to the gorse patch on Little Wood Bank to clear more of the oldest gorse as part of its annual cull. This will be burnt on the 19th as part of our Christmas celebration. It was quite hard going due to the slope of the ground and the stacks of cuttings to navigate. However, we cleared a surprisingly large area.
Five headed for Park Bank Wood using the leaf blower loaned from the Council. Two worked on the steps whilst the blower team headed towards Bocking Lane then along the top path, working their way around to the ponds and finally to the barn clearing all the paths of leaves and mud. Congratulations to a mud-splattered pair of leaf blowers.
Litter picking also took place this morning.
